How to use them. 3-PRACTICE ( 10 minutes ) -To help students make sentences with using the two forms. Ask students to give examples. 1-The form of the simple present tense Affirmative: Subject + verb-s/es + Negative: Subject + don’t / doesn’t + verb + Interrogative: Do / Does + subject + verb +......? Yes + subject + do / does. No + subject + don’t / doesn’t. 2-The form of the present continuous tense Affirmative: Subject + am / is / are + verb-ing.. Negative: Subject + ( am / is / are) + not + verb-ing. Interrogative: Is / are + subject + verb-ing...? Yes + subject + am / is / are. No + subject + (am / is / are) + not. 1-How to use the simple present tense. The simple present tense can be ued with or without an adverb of time to express habitual actions that happen repeatedly. 2-How to use the present continuous tense We use the progressive to describe actions or events which are in progressive at the moment of speaking.
