I. Aims: - Listening for details about the visit of The Robinsons to Nha Trang and reading for detail about Ba’s dairy to talk about past activities.
II. Requests: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to develop their listening skillabout the visit of The Robinsons to Nha Trang and reading skill about Ba’s dairy to talk about past activities.

1. Write the new words on the board .
- Put the verbs in the past simple tense.

2. Call 3 Ss to do on the board.
 Have the class practise the dialogue in pairs.

III. New lesson.
1. Introduction: Today, you’ll listen for details about the visit of The Robinsons to Nha Trang and read for detail about Ba’s dairy to talk about past activities.
2. Pre Listening: a. Vocabulary
T elicits the new words.
- Modal- have Ss repeat chorally and read individually.
+ calm and peaceful: yên tĩnh, tĩnh lặng (trans)
+ peanut (n): lạc, đậu phộng	(realia)
+ drive- drove: lái xe	(mine)
+ stop- stopped: dừng lại (antonym)
+ arrive- arrived: đến (translation)
+ look- looked: nhìn (translation)
 b. Open prediction.
- Have Ss predict what sentences they are going to hear about the visit of The Robinsons to Nha Trang.
- Get Ss’ predictions.
3. While Listening: a. Listen and check prediction.
- Have Ss listen to the tape and check their prediction.
- Have Ss compare with the parners.
- Get feedback and correct.
b. Delibrate mistakes.
- Give a passage then have Ss listen to the T and find out 5 mistakes in the passage.

* Liz was excited as the bus drove through the countryside. Everything looked calm and peaceful. At 4 o’clock, the bus stopped at a small roadside restaurant. Mrs. Robinson bought some peanuts and an ice cream for Liz. The bus arrived in Ha Noi at about 7pm.
