I. Aims: Develop Ss’ speaking 
 - Talking about past activities with the past simple in Negative and Interogative form and short answers.
II. Requests: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to develop their speaking skill by talking about past activities with the past simple in Negative and Interogative fóm and short answers.

1. Put the verbs in the correct form.
a. We always (meet) our parents on Sunday.
b. She (watch) TV at present.

2. Call 3 Ss to do on the board.
3. Remark, correct and give marks.
III. New lesson.
1. Introduction: Today, you’ll learn the past simple in Negative and Interogative form and short answers.
2. Presentation
a. Vocabulary:
- T elicits the new words.
- Modal- have Ss repeat chorally and read individually.
+ a hairdresser: thợ cắt tóc (translation)
+ a dressmaker: thợ may (situation) 
+ a neighbor: hàng xóm	(situation)
+ material: nguyên liệu (translation)
+ (to) cut: cắt (mime)
* Check vocab: What and where 
b. Presentstion dialogue 
- Have Ss read the dialogue and complete the grid.
- Get feedback and correct.

* Model sentences.
- Have Ss give the model sentences.
- Have Ss repeat chorally and in pairs.
 S1: Did Hoa buy the dress?
 S2: No, she didn’t.
 S1: Did her aunt cut her hair?
 S2: Yes, she did.
* Form: The past simple tense.
 S1: Did + S + V(inf) + O?
 S2: Yes, S + did/ No, S + didn’t.
* Uses: It is used to express an action which happened in the past at a definite time with “yesterday, last, ago”.
 3. Practice: Word cue Drill.
- Run through the grid.
- Model the first one. 
- Have Ss work in pairs to ask and answer using the information in grid.
- Call some pairs of Ss to practise
- Correct Ss’ mistakes.
a. S1: Did Hoa buy the material?
 S2: No, she didn’t.
 S1: Did her neighbor buy the material?
 S2: Yes, she did.
4. Further Practice: Guessing game.
- Have Ss write a sentence about what they did yesterday.
Ex: Yesterday, I went to/ bought
- Have the rest of class guess the action.
IV. Consolidation.
* Write questions and answers.
