III-New lesson (35’): Teacher & students’ activities Contents * Hangman - Check the rules of the game. - Let Ss predict the letters of the words. Step 1: Pre - listening 1. Vocabulary: ( trans) ( antonym) ( example) ( trans) - Sts listen. - Listen and repeat (chorally then individually). - Copy. Checking: Rub out and remember. 2. Prediction (A2.P108) - Set the scene: After the nurse had a medical check –up to Hoa. She met the doctor to let her give the result ti fill in the form. - Ask Ss to number the gaps. Then predict what words can be filled. - Let Ss some minutes to predict, when finished compare with the partners. - T gives feedback. Step 2: While - listening Activity 1: Checking the prediction - Teacher plays the tape twice. - Ss listen and check their predictions and correct the false ones. - Give feedback. - Sts practice the dialogue with their partners. Activity 2: Questions- Answers (A3.P109) - Teacher runs through the medical record. - Elicit to help Ss make questions with the information in the form. - Then divide the class in rows. Number the row 1-2. - No 1 is A; No 2 is B. - Use the questions above to get information to complete the form. - First A asks B answers then change. Step 3: Post - listening Survey - Teacher draws the table on the board - S s copy in their notebooks - Ss work in groups of three - Teacher models with one student: T : What’s your name?
