Presentation: Teacher’s & Students’ activities Content of activities Activity 1: B2 – Listen and answer T: explain ss the task of listening Ss: listen carefully. T: ask ss to read the questions and guess the answers to them. Ss: try guessing. T: play the tape twice Ss: listen and note down information from the typescript. T: call on some Ss to answer questions before the class. Ss: raise the hand to do. T: feedback and give correct answers *Now you will listen to a passage and find the answer to the questions given. * Answer key : Dr Lai is a dentist Dr Lai (or she) wears a uniform to work. Most children feel scared when they come to see Dr Lai. She explains what will happen. She gives them advice. She tells them how to look after their teeth and she reminds them to clean their teeth regularly and eat sensibly. Activity 2: B3 – Listen and read T: lead into the passage with some questions. Ss: listen and raise the hand to do T: lead into the topic of the dialogue with some questions, using the picture + Who are they? Where are they? What do you think they are doing? Ss: listen and think to answer the questions asked by the teacher. 2. Presentation: Teacher’s & Students’ activities Content of activities T: ask ss to read the instruction and give some questions about it. Ss: listen and think to answer the questions about the instruction.
