Lesson : The eighth form program revision
Introduction.
I. Objectives:
- To introduce the sts’ book and work book.
- To help the sts revise grammar points that they have learnt in 7 grade.
- To enable the students to play some games.
- To make them aware of the importance of learning English.
II. Language: a) voc : Revision.
b) structure : Revision.
III. Techniques: explanation , ask & answer , games , using pics.
IV. Teaching aids: text book , some pictures.
Date of preparation : 22/ 8/2009 Week:01 Period:01 English 9 Lesson : The eighth form program revision Introduction. I. Objectives: To introduce the sts’ book and work book. To help the sts revise grammar points that they have learnt in 7 grade. To enable the students to play some games. To make them aware of the importance of learning English. II. Procedures: Teacher and Students’Activities Content I. Warm up: Makes greetings health. - Good afternoon. How are you today? - Are you eager to start the new school year? - What did you do on your summer holiday? II. Activity 1: Revision: Tenses of the verbs. The present perfect tense. Advs: Just, already, Recently, lately, not .. yet, ever, never, before, for, since Passive Voice. T: Give the form and explain Sts: copy and practice. T: Make the sentences and give the tense of the passive voice. Sts: copy work in pairs. Make the dialogue Give the formation. I/ The present perfect tense. S + Has/Have + Past Participle Ex. I have gone to Ha Noi for two years. Neg. S + Has/Have + Past Participle Inter Has/Have + S + Past Participle ? II/ The Passive Voice. TO BE + PAST PARTICIPLE Active: Mary learns English Passive: English is learnt by Mary 1. Simple Present . T: Revision the WISH and make sentences Sts: copy and practice. II. Activity 2 : Introduce the new book. - There are 16 units in the students’ books from U1 to U16 Every Unit has 7 parts : At the end of this book there is a glossary ® vocabulary in 16 units. III. Activity 3: Introduce some games. V. Homework: Asks the sts to prepare the 1st period U1:Getting started & Listen and read. English is learnt by Mary 2. Simple Past. Was / were + p.p English was learnt by Mary last month. 3. Simple Future. Shall/Will Be + p.p English will be learnt by Mary tomorrow Present Perfect.
