1. How to learn English 6.
Ss should be equipped with basic English to communicate in simple situations similar to those mentioned in the book. In addition, Ss have a chance to experience English and English speaking countries’ cultures.
II. How is the book organized ? (12’)
- The book is divided in to 16 units referring to 6 themes: Personal information, Education, Community, Health, Recreation and The world around us.
- The exercise book supply Ss with different kinds of exercises to help them summarize the languages and master English.
- The book and exercise book are both compiled in English except the preface.
III. How to learn English:
1. How did you study English at primary school ?
2. Basic learning techniques (15’)
a. Repetition: Learners have to repeat the languages as many times as possible so that they will be able to learn them by heart.
b. Examples: Learners have to say, write, read and listen to examples as much as possible. In other words, learners have to put the languages in context.
c. Substitution: Learners have to replace the language items with similar ones.
d. Situations: Learners have to practice English in real or imaginary situations so that they will be able to speak English as fluently as they can.
 3. Personal pronouns. ( Đại từ nhân xưng )
+ Số ít: I, You, He, She.
+ Số nhiều: We, You, They.
- I: ( tôi, mình, tớ ). Dùng để chỉ chính bản thân chúng ta(những người đang nói ). Ngôi thứ nhất số ít.
- You: ( bạn, cậu, tớ, chú, cô, bác, bà, ông ) dùng để chỉ người đang trực tiếp đối thoại với ta. Ngôi thứ hai số ít.
- He: ( anh ấy, bạn ấy, bác ấy, ông ấy, chú ấy, - là nam ). Dùng để chỉ đến một người thứ ba là nam giới khi ta đang nói chuyện mà ta nhắc đến người ấy. Ngôi thứ ba số ít.
- She: ( chị ấy, cô ấy, bà ấy, bác ấy, bạn ấy,.. – là nữ ). Dùng để nói đến một người thứ ba là nữ khi ta đang nói chuyện mà nhắc tới người ấy. Ngôi thứ ba số ít.
- We: ( chúng tôi, chúng ta, chúng mình,  . Dùng để chỉ chính bản than những người đang nói, từ hai trở lên. Ngôi thứ nhất số nhiều.
- You: ( các bạn, các anh, các chị, các cô,). Dùng để chỉ những người đang trực tiếp đối thoại với ta ( từ hai người trở lên ). Ngôi thứ hai số nhiều.
- They: ( họ, bọn họ, bọn chúng,)
Dùng để chỉ đến những người thứ ba ( nam,nữ, đồ vật dung chung ) khi ta đang nói chuyện mà nhắc tíơ những người ấy. Ngôi thứ ba số nhiều.
- It: (nó, vật ấy,..). Dùng để chỉ đồ vật (một đồ vật, nếu hai đồ vật trở lên dùng they). Ngôi thứ ba số ít.
3. Consolidation and practice ( 3 ms).

T: Gives comments and compliments. Then summarizes the main languages of the lesson orally once again.

 + The personal pronouns.
4. Homework ( 2 ms).
