Objectives - By the end of the lesson , students will be able to ask and answer about their vacation. 1. Skill - Improve reading,writing, speaking and listening 2. New lesson Content Teacher activities Students activities Warm up ( 5minutes ) Play game: slap the board may holiday hotel summer July June - Teacher says: before new lesson, we are going to play game: Slap the board - Write 6 words on the boards - Devide the class into 2 teams. Call 5 students of each teams. Numbers students from 1 to 5 - Ask students to go to the board. - Call on each pair to play. - Teacher says a words in Vietnamese. Who slap the board first is winner and this team gets 1 point. - Teacher checks each score after playing. Teacher says: Now, we are going to learn the new lesson before the new lesson I have some new words for you - Listen - Look at the board - Listen and remember students’s number. - Go to the board. -Each pair to play. - Each pair is called will strike in English word which is suitable with mean teacher says Pre – teach ( 5 minutes) Vocabulary - aunt ( n): cô, dì, bác (gái) (explanation) - citadel (n): thành nội, thành lũy (translation) - vacation (n ): kỳ nghỉ (synonym) - beach (n): bãi biển (mine) - uncle (n): cậu, chú, bác (trai) (explanation) - stay (v): ở lại (translation) 2. Cheking new words Play game: Rub out and remember 3.Set the scene: Where is Lan going? She is going to Hue Is she going to stay her friend? No, she isn’t. She is going to stay her aunt and uncle - Teacher elicits new words - Ask students to listen and teacher reads model - Ask students to reads chorally. - Ask students to reads individually - Ask students to copy down new words in their notebook - Rub out new words on the board - Ask students to go to the board and rewrite new words - Each student rewrite only 1 word - Check - Teacher says: Ba and Lan are talking about Lan’s vacation. I want you to guess. Where is Lan going? Is she going stay her friend? - Ask some students to read their answer. - Listen and guess - Listen - Read chorally - Read individually - Copy down new words in their notebook - Go to the board and rewrite - Listen and answer the teacher’s question. - Read answer Dialogue (10 minutes) Activity 1: Listen and repeat dialogue (P.140) Activity 2: Play game Lucky numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Number 1: Where is Lan going to stay? She is going to visit citadel Activity 3: Grammar The near future tense ( Thì tương lai gần) - Useage: describe an action happening in the future that have plan before speaking. Form: S + be + going to + V Eg: Iam going to play badminton on Friday - Ask students to look at the dialogue in their book (P. 140) and listen. - Teacher plays cassette - Ask students to read chorally. - Ask students to work in pairs read dialogue. - Call on some pairs to read dialogue before class. - Ask students to answer: +) Where is Lan going? +) Is she going to stay her friend? - Call on some students to answer then check. - Devide the class into 2 teams. - Ask 2 students of each team to choose paper which have number 1 and number 2. - Teacher says: +) If each team choose a paper which has number 1. This team will play first. +) If teams choose lucky number, this team needn’t answer the question still get 2 points and continue to be choosed . If teams aren’t choose lucky number, this team will have to answer the question - Ask each student of each teams to choose the number - Teacher checks each team score after playing. - Ask students to look at the dialogue again.(P.138) - Teacher says: In the dialogue there is a sentence to talk +) “Tôi sẽ đi Huế”. Tellme, what is the sentence? +) “ Tôi sẽ ở lại với bác trai và bác gái của tôi”. Tell me, what is the sentence? - Give form and useage for students - Give example other for students to understand Eg: Iam going to play badminton on Friday - Look at the dialogue and listen - Read chorally - Work in pairs read dialogue - Some pairs to read dialogue before class - Answer the question - Listen - Listen - Choose the number - Look at the dialogue again (138) - Listen and answer the teacher’s question - Listen and write down Practice ( 10 minutes) Repetition drill 1.Trang and Tam/ vacation/ summer → Trang and Tam are going to vacation this summer 2.They/ visit/ Ha Long bay → They are going to visit Ha Long bay 3.They/ stay/ hotel/ week → They are going to stay in a hotel for a week 4. Hotel/ near/ beach → The hotel is near the beach 5. They/ swim/ everyday/ when/ they/ Ha Long bay → They are going to swim everyday when they are in Ha Long bay 6.They/ visit/ Tuan Chau island → They are going to visit the Tuan Chau island 7.Tam/ walk/ beach → Tam is going to walk on the beach 8.Trang/ visit/ Sung Sot cave → Trang is going to visit Sung sot cave 9.They/ take part in/ Ha Long festival → They ars going to take part in Ha Long festival 10. They/ go/ market → They are going to the market. - Stick the poster on the board - Ask students to look at the board - Ask students: +) How many sentences are there? 10 sentences +) Are there full sentences? No, aren’t there. +)Call on some students to read aloud sentences - Teacher says: This is a plan for summer vacation of Tam and Trang. All sentences aren’t full. I want you to write full sentences - Give model example Eg: Trang and Tam are going to vacation this summer - Ask students to do the same - Call on some students to go to the board and write answer. Each student write only 1 sentence - Check - Look at the board - Listen and answer the teacher’s question - Listen - Write full sentences - Go to the board and write answer Production ( 13 minutes) Play game: network Topic: Write activities you are going to do this summer vacation - Write topic on the board - Devide the class into 2 teams - Teacher says: +) Each student of each team go to the board and write activities. One student write only 1 activity +) Each team write as much as activities which aren’t the same. This team will winner. - Give model example Eg: Play soccer - Teacher says: let’s start. 10 minutes for you - Check - Look at the board - Listen - Go to the board and write activities C.Summary (1 minutes) - Teacher retells content of lesson: near future tense D.
