III-New lesson (35’): Teacher & students’ activities Contents * Warm up Bingo - Ask Ss to write down 4 activities they often do at recess - Ask sts to listen to the T and tick note the words they hear. - Teacher reads: - Praise the winners Step 1: Pre - reading 1. Vocabulary ( explain) ( explain) ( explain) ( translation ) ( translation ) ( synonym ) - Sts listen. - Listen and repeat (chorally then individually) - Copy * Check voc : What and where 2. Open- prediction - Ask ss to predict what American students do at recess. - Get Ss’ ideas Step 2: While - reading ( P. 57-58 ) 1. Cheking prediction - Ss read the text to check their prediction - Give feedback 2. Matching - Stick the poster on the board - Ask Ss to read the text again and match the English word with the meanings in Vietnamese . ( invidual work) - Ss take in turns to go to the board and do matching - Teacher corrects 3.
