III/Teaching aids: English books, notebooks, BB, chalk, leaflets,.
IV/Procedure:
1) The teacher check if the students have enough school things for learning English. They are: Text book, workbooks, notebooks , pen, pencil, a poster for each group of 6,
2) Guide students to use some common phrases that are often used in the classroom:
- work in pairs
- work in groups
- stand up
- sit down
- look at the board.
- open your books
- close your books
- listen to me
- keep silent
- don’t talk
3) Revision and check
-Ask students to do some exercises to review vocab and some grammatical rules from English 7
-Ask them to give their answers in front of the class and correct if nesessary

I/The aims of the lesson
-Vocabulary: words ralated to describing people’s appearances and some greetings
-Main teaching points: describing people’s appearance using the simple present of the verbs “to be” and “to have”
-Main skill: speaking, listening
-Other skills: reading, writing
-Anticipated problems:It’s difficult for some students to arrange more than one adj in a noun phrase.
II/The objectives of the lesson
-By the end of the lesson , students will be able to describe someone using the verbs “to be” and “to have”
-They will be able to use some expressions in the box to fill in the gaps after listening to the tape.
III/Teaching aids: Text book, posters, pictures,cassette,.
IV/Procedure:
1)Check up: 
-Write the new words of the previous lesson.
-Read and translate the dialogue/P10
-Ex 1,2/P5-Yellow Workbook.
2)Warm up: 
* Brain storming: 
Ask ps to think of the adjectives used to describe body build and hair.

3)Preteach vocabulary.
-Ask students to copy down those wodrs above. Explain again which words they don’t know clearly
- Review how to use the verb ‘to be’ and ‘to have’ in the simple present.

-Show students the picture of Mary and ask them to describe her hair and her body build.

Explain how to use these phrases and guide them to read.

In the summer holiday, Mr Hung and Mrs Chi and their children, Tuan and Hoa often go to the beach for two or three days. They always go to Vung Tau in the South of Vietnam. They usually stay in a small house or a flat by the sea, but sometimes they stay in a hotel.
