+ Do you have any pen pals?
+ Do you have any friends abroad/ in the North/ in the South?

- Give Ss a situation: You have a foreign pen pal. He (she) is coming to stay with you for a week. What activities would you do during the visit?
- Ask Ss to look at the picture on page 6 "name the places in the pictures and ask the Ss if they want to take their friends there (ask Why)
2. Presentation: Lan has a pen pal-Maryam. She’s from Kuala Lumpur. This is her first visit to Viet Nam.

Paul: Yes, and I like it very much. Ha Noi is a nice city and the people are very friendly.
