PREPARATIONS: Book III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. Warm - Up: (5’) - Have role play: ask and answer questions +What time is it? + It’s six o’clock. 2. Exercise: (30’) a. Exercise 1: Simple present tense - Have Ss read exercises 1, 7 on page 60, 61 and fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs. - Call some Ss to correct. 1/ 60: a/ get up c/ go b/ have d/ wash 7/ 61: a/ gets up d/ has b/ takes e/ goes c/ brushes b. Exercise 2: Time - Ask Ss to look at 6 pictures on page 60 - Ask Ss to ask and answer the question. What time is it? [ It’s - Call some Ss to get feedback. c. Exercise 3: Adjectives - Give the model sentences. + Is your { house } big ? + Yes,it is / No, it isn’t. - Ask Ss to make similar dialogue + house. + school + city. + country. + street. + family. + living room. - Correct their mistakes. d. Exercise 4: Question words - Show Ss the statements. - Let Ss ask questions. - Ask them to work in pairs. a. My house is on Mai Dich Street. b. It has two floors. c. My name’s Nga. d. I go to Cau Giay school. e. N-G-A. g. I’m in grade 6. - Correct if there are any mistakes. e. Exercise 5: Classes - Ask Ss to play game “Lucky numbers” 1 2 3 4 5 6 1. c). Homework: (3’) - Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and structure.
