 I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand the content of the passage with practice “ ’s ” to talk about possessions.
 II. PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape, cards
 III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - Up: (5’)
- Ask students to play game “Bingo”

2. Pre - Reading: (12’)
- Ask students to look at the picture.
- Introduce the new words:
 1. Big (ajd)
 2. Small (adj)
 3. In the city
 4. In the country
- Introduce the possessive case, showing students the picture:
 + Who is this?
 + What is this? 
 + Whose school is it?
+ Target language: A1(page 44 -p1)
Possessive: Hoa’s school
3. While - Reading: (15’)
+ Activity 1:
- Ask students to read the text and check their prediction.
 + Phong’s school :small / in the country. 
 + Thu’s school: big / in the city.
+ Activity 2:
- Ask students to read the text again and answer the questions (A2 page 44)
1. Is Phong’s school small?
2. Is Thu’s school small?
3. Where is Phong’s school?
4. Is Thu’s school in the country?
- Call some pairs read their answers in front of class and get information
4. Post - Reading: (10’)
- Ask students to ask and answer about their school
- Ask students to work in pairs
Ex:
P1: What is your school?
P2: It’s Le Quy Don school
P1: Is it small?
P2: No, it isn’t
P1: Where is it?
P2: It’s in the city
- Ask students to write about 4 sentences to talk about their friend
5.Homework: (3’)
- Ask students to learn by heart vocabulary and possesssive case . 
- Have them do exercises in the workbook from page 34 to 35
Prepare the next lesson Unit 4: A3 – 4/p.45, 46
