OBJECTIVES:
 Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about daily routines by
 using simple present.

1. Warm - Up: (3’)
- Ask Ss to play game “Guessing game.”
 6.00; 7.10; 9.15; 8.30
* Student1: What time is it?
* Student2: Is it 6 o’clock?
* Student1: Yes, It is /No, It isn’t.
2. Presentation: (12’)
- Ask Ss to look at the picture p. 52.
- Introduce some new words.

- Ask Ss to practice the new words.
- Set the scene: Nga is talking about her daily routines.
- Let Ss to listen to the cassette and answer:
 What does Nga do every day?
- Show them the difference of the verbs when the subject is the 3rd person singular.
Eg: Nga gets up, goes to school, plays games, does her homework 
S + V “s / es”
3. Practice: (15’)
- Get Ss to repeat the sentence with the target item in it.
- Call out one word to be changed in the sentence:
 +Every day I get up at six. 
 + Every day Nga 
- Correct their mistakes.
4. Production: (10’)
- Ask Ss to ask and answer questions about
their daily routines.

- Call some students to practice in front of class.
5. Homework: (5’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary of routines and simple present tense.
 Have them prepare next lesson: Unit 5: A3 – 4/ p. 53 
- Play game.
- Look at the picture.
- Listen to the teacher.
- Repeat after the teacher.
- Listen to the teacher’s explanation.
- Listen to the cassette and answer:
 She gets up, goes to school
- Listen to the teacher.
- Make the change and repeat the new sentence.
- Listen.
- Practice in pairs.
- Ask and answer questions about their daily routines.
