- Grammar: “Wh” question in the present tense.
C. Skills: Writing, speaking, reading, speaking.
II. Prepration:
A. Teacher: a cassettes, tape, posters some pictures.
B. Studdents: Pictures of Congress library.
III. Procedures:

Warm up: Ask Ss some questions about library of Congress. a-What is this ? b- Do you know where is it ? c- What is the name of the library ? d- Do you know what is the largest library in the world. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Ss’activities I. Activity 2: T/F staterments prediction: -write on the board. II. While reading: -Ask Ss to open the books ,read and check their prediction.. *Answer key : 1-F 2-F 3-T 4-F 5-T. Activity 3: Comprehension questions: -Ask Ss to read the text silently then answer the questions by playing a game.’’Lucky number “ 1-How many people are there ? 2- Lucky number! 3-Why is it so large ? 4-How many books does it have ? 5-Lucky number ! 6-Where is the Library of Congress ? 7-How long are Its shelves ? 8-Lucky Number ! -Ask Ss to divide into 2 teams and play game. .-correct Ss’answers and give marks. III. Post reading: -Ask Ss to compare their school library with the Library of congress. -correct Ss’answers. Activity 4: Write-it up : -Ask Ss to look at the table and write.Using the comparatives and superatives sentences. -ask Ss to read loudly. Activity 5: Word picked out T asks Ss to read the poem and pick out the subjects mentioned in it. -listen and read chorally -read individually. -listen and repeat. -read in pairs. -repeat. -copy down. -give example. -close their book and predict. -speak out. a-The Library of Congress is in New York. b-It receives copies of all English books. c-There are over 100 milion books in this Library. d- The shelves are about 300km long. e- 5000 people work in the library. -open their books and raed the text and check. -read the text and answer the questions. -divide into 2 teams and play game. -write in the notebooks. -write in the notebooks Example : My school Library is smaller than library of Congress. Ss may pick out; Home Economics, History, Geography, Physics, ect. IV.Homework assignments: At home :+ Learn new words by heart. + Read the text then answer the questions. + Write the coparatives and superatives in your school library and L of C + Do exercises B6 in work book.
