Skill: - Reading, Speaking, Writing Procedure Settlement: (1’) Check up:(4’) -Slap the board Listen to music, watch Tv, go to the movie, restaurant, stamp New lesson:- Lesson5 (B2) Teacher’s Activities Student’s Activities Lead-in: (3’) - Asks Ss to look at the picture in textbook ?Who are they ?Are they Vietnamese student or American students ? What are they doing - Introduces the lesson I- PRE-READING: (11’) - Elicits first and says out the words. - Writes and checks - Checks vocab.: R.O.R - Ask Ss to predict the activities that Ss in America often do in their free time - Gives the task and asks Ss to predict ten activities in groups. - Gets feedback and writes their predictions on the board II- WHILE-READING (10’) - Asks Ss to read the text to check their predictions. - Invites their corrections of the predictions and gives feedback. (Using ten pictures) - sticks ten pictures of activities American teenagers often do on the board. - asks Ss to read the text to match the phrases with the pictures. - invites the answer. - invites the corrections and then share ideas with the whole class. III- POST-READING (9’) Possible question: What do you often do in your free time? - Asks Ss to work in groups to list out the activities in their free time. - Invites three groups to present their ideas on the board. - Asks the whole to compare and add more - Look at the pictures in textbook and answer T/s questions individually Vocabulary teenager(n)(Example):thiếu niên attend (V)(Tran): tham gia the youth organization (N)(Examp): tổ chức thiếu niên - (to) go shopping (Trans): đi mua sắm - (to) make models (Trans): làm mẩu - try out & repeat chorally- individually - give the meaning & pronounciation. - read and rewrite them 2. Open prediction - Ten activities American teenagers like to do: + watch Tv + go shopping + listen to music..... - List out activities American teenagers like to do in groups. - Speak out their predictions. 3. Read and check predictions - Read it and share their ideas in pairs. - Give the right information and check their predictions. 4. Matching (P.62). - look through the pictures - read it and share their ideas in groups, then write their results on the worksheets. - stick their answers on the board. - correct their results with teacher. Brainstorming - share their ideas in groups to complete the task ( may ask the question.) - go to the board and write their activites, then share ideas with the whole class. Consolidation:(5’)- Chatting Example exchange: S1: What do you often do in your free time? S2: I often play soccer. How about you? S1: I usually listen to music. Homework:(2’) Asks Ss to do exercises B1,4 (workbook) at home. Instructs Ss to prepare: B3-P.66 Supplement
