Warm up: Jumbled words brank => bank loiphats => hospital tohel => hotel nstoait => station tamrke => market tospfeifco => post office - Play game ð Lead in the new lesson: They are the places you’ll learn in this unit. - Copy down II. Presentation 1. Pre-teach vocabulary - Ask Ss to match the nouns of places (from jumbled words) to the pictures A1 - Do the exercise + Group work Answer key: a- National Bank of Viet Nam b- Saint Paul Hospital c- Hotel d- The Central Post Office e- Ha Noi Railway Station f- Dong Xuan Market - Repeat loudly - Write down 2. Practice a) Brainstorming Ask Ss to repeat the prepositions of place - Do the exercise in 2 groups. prepositions of place behind in front of - Remark and call on some Ss to repeat 2. Listen and repeat. Then practice the dialogue with a partner. - Use pictures to set the situations. - What does the tourist want? - If you were Nga, would you be pleased to help him? - Now you will listen to a conversation between Nga and the tourist. - Ask them to repeat - Give out the new structures: (Ask them to find out) - New words: + souvenir shop: cửa hàng đồ lưu niệm + excuse me : xin lỗi cho tôi hỏi - Ask them to repeat the questions and answers. - Ask them to practice the dialogue in pairs.
