Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Have students write networks of some places in Duc Trong Places In Duc Trong - Ask questions a. Is there a bank near here? b. How do I get there? Pre – speaking. - Ask students to look at the map of a neighborhood and name the places. - Have students remind of prepositions of positions: + near + beside + next to + opposite + in front of + to the left/right of + on the right/left of + between and - Ask students to look carefully at the positions of the places on the maps, and notice the arrow (You are here) - Model Nga : Where is the bank? Nam: The bank is between the hotel and the restaurant. It’s opposite the hospital. While – speaking. - Ask students to practice in pairs. - Call on some pairs to practice before the class. - Ask students to look at the map again, and listen to the directions to identify what place it is. + If you go straight to the second street, turn left. What is on the right next to the restaurant? + It’s a bank. - Ask students to make similar directions, and tell the others to answer what place it is. - Play the tape for students - Ask students to give feedback a. souvenir shop. b. shoe store. c. hotel d. drug store e. hospital. ¯ Tape script: a.
