Warm – up
- Call two students to practice the dialogue B2. 
- Have some students introduce themselves (basing on the form in B3).
Pre – speaking 
- Ask students to look at the picture.
- Ask questions. 
 a. How many people are there?
 b. What are they?
 c. Where are they?
- Point to Hoa, the girl in pink, and ask questions.
 a. Who’s this?
 b. Where does she live?
 c. What’s she doing?
 d. How does she go to school?
- Show students the distance between Hoa’s house and her school, then introduce the new structure.
 How far is it from her house to school?
 It’s (about) one kilometer.
- Explain the new word: far ≠ near, be far from
- Play the tape for students 
While - speaking
- Have students practice the dialogue. 
- Ask students to look at the pictures in B5.
- Explain the meanings of the words: market, movie theater, post office, bus stop.

- Have students practice asking and answering

Post –speaking
- Have students practice asking and answering the distance between the places in their town.
