 1. Knowledge:By the end of the lesson: Ss will be able to

+ Use "how far" question and the answer with kilometers/ metres to talk about distance.

 + Tell about distance and means of transportation from house to somewhere.

 II. Skills: speaking and writing about the question “How far”.

Ex: How far is it from your house to school?
 - About 1 km
2. Presentation dialogue:
T asks Ss to listen to the tape and repeat
T asks Ss to read in group and in pairs.
T asks Ss to answer the questions
a. How many questions does Nam ask Hoa?
b. What are they?
T uses questions to introduce new structure.
Model sentence 
 How far is it from your house to school?
How long............? Bao lâu
How many..........= How much.....? bao nhiêu
Structure: How far is it from A to B?
Answer : About 2 kilometers. 
Usage: Dùng mẫu câu này để hỏi khoảng cách từ A đến B.
*T asks Ss to take some example
3. Practice: word cue drill
-T gives some posters.
a. The market/ 2 kms
b. The post office/ 700 ms
c. School/ 1km
d. The movie theatre/ 3kms
e. The bus stop/ 500ms
T asks ss to repeat "How far is it from.......to.....?
About......"
T asks Ss to work in group then in pairs
T puts the posters on the board and asks Ss to practice
