Warm up: Answer the questions:
-What places do you want to visit in Vietnam?
T leads to the new lesson by saying: Today Liz has gone to Nha trrang and now he is talking to Ba about her vacation there.
1.Presenteation: *Pre-teach vocabulary:
1. welcome back: mừng trở về
2. wonderful: = great: tuyệt vời
3. a trip: chuyến đi
4. a gift: món quà
5. friendly: thân thiện
6. to return: trở về
*Check Vocab: Matching.
*Open-prediction:
 What did Liz do in Nha Trang?
*Ask Ss to read the text silently and check their prediction.
2-While -reading:
*Ordering:
-Ask Ss to read the dialogue the rearrange the actions in crocharally:
Expected answer:
1- Liz went to Nha Trang.
2- Liz visited Tri Nguyen Aquarium.
3- Liz bought souvenirs.
4- Liz returned to Ha Noi.
5- Liz talked to Ba about her vacation.
-correct Ss’answers.
3- Grammar: The simple past tense:
a. usage: The action happened in the past.
b. Structure: S + Vs.past + O
S: Subject O: Object
Vs past: + regular: V.ed
 + irregular: go- went, buy – bought 
c. Examples:
a. I went to Hue last week.
b. They were students.
c. He did his homework yesterday.
T asks Ss to find what regular/ irregular verbs in the dialogue.
Irregular verbs: was, were, had, bought, took, did.
4. Further practice:
T write ten infinitive verbs then change to past form:
See, eat, drink, meet, do, get, give, know, begin, make, sing, take, 
-answer the questions.
Ss can tell the famous cities in Vietnam: Examples: Dalat, Halong, Hoian, Hue, Hanoi, Sapa, Cantho, Nha Trang
-copy down.
Ss play roles in pairs.
Some pairs practice in the class.
-repeat and read individually.
-match.
-lable the pictures in the text.
-read the text silently and check their prediction.
-copy down.
Ss can give more examples.
Ss change into past foprm:
Saw, ate, met, did, got, gave, knew, began, made, sang, took.

- Let Ss read verds of the past simple tense loudly.
