Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Get students to play PELMANISM to review the past form of verbs Be Went Eat Was / Were Arrive Stopped Buy Excited Return Returned See Did Stop Took Go Ate Do Arrived Excite Saw Take Bought - Ask students to read the verbs above. Pre – listening. - Have students listen some sentences to decide themselves if they are true or false. 1. The Robinsons went back to Ha Noi from Nha Trang by car. 2. Liz saw rice paddies for the third time. 3. They stopped at a small roadside restaurant for ten minutes. 4. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were asleep, so Liz bought food for them. 5. They arrived home at 4pm. - Supply students with some vocabulary: a. excited (adj) b. calm (adj) c. peaceful (adj) d. roadside restaurant (n) e. peanut (n) - Get students to give feedback.
