-Ask students to write some names of diseases they have known.

- Have students practice saying their healthy state.

Presentation
- Ask students to look at the picture and answer the questions.

2. Was Lan in class yesterday? (look at the balloon 1)
3. What was wrong with her? (look at the balloon 2)
- Ask students to look at the dialogue and listen to the tape.
Practice 
-Ask students to read the dialogue in pairs.
- Call on some students to practice the dialogue before the class.
- Have students practice the patterns in pairs.

- Ask students to read the dialogue and answer the questions. 
a. Lan didn’t go to school because she had a bad cold.

- Tell students to practice the questions and the answers in pairs
