Activity1: Warm up: -Ask Ss to answer the questions: a- What are they doing ? b- Do you always take a walk ? c- What are the benefits of walking ? * Pre-teach vocab: -take part in = participate /pa:tisipeit / (v)tham gia -‘Walking For Fun “ WFF” :đi bộ vui vẻ -competition (n) cuộc thi, cuộc đua. -prize /praiz / (n) giải thưởng -organize (v) tổ chức -increase /in’kri:s / (v.n) gia tăng, sự gia tăng. -Walk -To -School Day (WTS day) ngày đi bộ đến trường . *Check vocab: Rub out and remember. *Open prediction: -Ask Ss to predict what 2 activities of the club children take part in “WFF” -write on the board. 2-While-reading : a- Ask Ss to read the text and check their prediction. Answer key: b- Comprehention questions: -Ask Ss to read the text about 5ms and answer the questions. a- What sport activities does the writer take part in ? b-Why did the school children organize the WFF ? c- What are the 2 activities of the club ? d- How far is it from the school to the beach ? e-Which day of the week is the WTS day of the club? f- Who often takes part in the WTS day ? 3- Post-reading : Discussion -Ask Ss to work in groups of 5 or 6 Ss to dicuss the question “ What sport activities do you like best?” Why? -go around the class and help the students. -Ask Ss to speak in class -speak out. a-They are walking. b- Yes/No. c-Ss’answer. -copy down. -read choraly -read individually. -carry out -close their books and predict. -speak out. -read the text silently and answer the questions. -go to the board and write on. a- Walking for fun club. b-The writer ‘s school team won the first prize.they were so happy and wanted to keep the activities. c- 5 kms walk to the beach on SunDay morning. -the other is walk to school day. d-It’s 5 km from the school to the beach. e- Wednesday f- The member living near school often take part in the WTS Day. -work in groups of 5-6. -discuss the question. -stand up and speak out. IV. Consolidation: 2ms +Let Ss discuss the question to consolidate. V.
