VI Procedures : 1/Warm – up - Have ss write ‘NETWORKS’ with the words: CITY _ COUNTRYSIDE. - Ask questions. + Do you like the city / country ? Why or why not ? 2/Pre – reading - Ask ss to look at the dialogue in B1 and write T or F for each sentence. -Call some SS to give the answers in front of the class. - Introduce the new words eat out , the public library, help each other, together, far too exspensive, socialize, after all. 3/While – reading - Have ss read the text silently. - Have ss read and list the things Hoa usually did in the evening. ( using the simple present tense) - Ask ss to read the answers. -Make correction. 4/Post – reading - Have SS answer the questions about Hoa. 1. What did Hoa and her friends usually do when she went out? 2. Why did she rarely go to see movies or eat out in the evening? What did she prefer to do? 3. Why couldn’t she read books in the village? 4. How many books did the public library in the city have? 5.Why did she decide that the city wasn’t so bad after all? -Call some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class. -Correct mistakes. 5/Homework - Reread the text and write the answers to the questions. - Exercise B4/p 98 (workbook) 6/Remarks - Write ‘NETWORKS’ - Answer the question. - Do as directed. 1. Hoa’s village in Hue was very quiet. 2. The city has only a little traffic. 3. Lan hates going to the movie most. 4. Hoa are not afraid of traffic. 5. Lan says that she will get used to it soon. - Give the answers in front of the class. - Listen and repeat.
