Revision: (5m) - Ss make sentences with comparatives and superlatives, using the cues. T : use some realia to say . Ss: listen to her. III. New lesson: *Presentation: T: elicit new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in groups. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning. Copy down T: Give some guiding questions ( sub-board )and read the dialogue aloud. _Have ss read the dialogue in pairs first then answer the guiding questions in oral. Ss: Listen and do as requested. T: Review and give the new structures on the board. _Then take some examples. Ss: Listen carefully and copy down. -Ss read the dialogue again to answer the questions. * Practice: T: Ask ss to read in silent the dialogue again and answer the questions in group and in pairs. - After doing have ss hang on the board and correct. Ss: Listen and try to do. - Look and correct mistakes. * Further practice: T: run through the cues. Model the first cue. SS: listen and repeat in chorus, individual. Do the rest. T: ask ss to write the sentences. Ss: demonstrate their task in front of the class after they have finished. He’s asking his friend, Nhat, for advice. *Guiding questions: a.Where is John Robinson from ? b. What does he do ? c.What is he looking for ? d. Who is he talking to ? * Model sentences: The apartment at number 40 is better. It’s more expensive. The apartment at number 79 is the best, It’s the most expensive. * Note: -Comparatives: adj-ER than MORE + adj +than - Superlatives: THE +adj- EST THE MOST + long adj.
