Checking and Revision: Call some sts to go to the board and ask them some questions that they have learnt, tell others to do exercises B 3, 4 Warm up: New Lesson: TIME TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1. Speak. - Show the pictures of some places and ask sts where they are. a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. - Ask them how far it is from their houses to these places. + How far is it from your house to the post office? It’s two kilometers - Ask sts to work in pairs, use the above pictures to make questions and answer with “HOW FAR” 2. Listen - Tell sts to look at the map in task 6 (pg. 18) in groups carefully. - Play the mp3 player and ask sts to listen carefully. - Tell them to listen and write the distances b/w the places in the form below: Lan’s house to school: .. Lan’s house to the p.o: .. School to the movie theater: . Movie theater to the p.o: . - Write the form on the board, and ask sts to read the numbers - Correct their answers - Look at the pictures an guess what places they are. a. factory ; b. river; c. stadium; d. school; e. market; f. post office; g. police station; h. movie theater - Answer T’s questions - Work in pairs, ask and answer with “How far?” * Example: A: How far is it from the stadium to your house? B: It’s about 6 km - Work in groups - Look at the map in their books - Listen to the mp3 - Listen again and fill in the form Lan’s house to school: 300 m. Lan’s house to the p.o: 700 m School to the movie theater: 3 km Movie theater to the p.o: 2 km. - Go to the board and write down the answers - Copy down Conclusion: Now, sts can ask and answer with “how far”, and listen to take the distances b/w places.
