Procedures Teacher and students’ activities Contents Warm up and review : (5’) _Teacher reads the questions. _ Ask Ss to answer the questions about you _ Call some pairs Pre-Listening (15’) +Let Sts listen to the dialogue. +Remind Sts of the difference in greeting between ages. +Practice in pairs ,change the roles ,perform the dialogue before the class. +Explain the responses to the greetings in the box. Practice (10’) Gap fill : +Sts work on their own first ,then compare with their partners. +Sts listen and check. +Show Sts four pictures and elicit the situation in each one . +Tell them how to do and let them listen to the dialogues. Picture cues drill : (4’) + Sts listen again and write the letters of the dialogues in the order they hear (T gives the key) Consolidation : Mapped dialogue: (10’) Teacher encourages Sts to use the new greetings expressions from the matching. *Homework : (1’) Ask Ss to do the exercises in the workboook A1,A3 (workbook _ Page 3,4 ).
