Week :21 Fre. 9th - 14th ,2004 Period :62 UNIT: 10 HEALTH AND HYGIENE Lesson : (1) A1 1.Objectives : Give instructions and talk about personal hygiene, routines 2 Language contents : a.Grammar : Present simple, past simple, frequency b. Vocabulary :harvest,helpful, write- wrote, take exercise, yourself, wash, iron, own, stay up late, be bad for, probably, forget-forgot 3.Techniques : presentation text, pre-teach, comprehension questions 4.Teaching aids : Picture , cassette 5. Time : 45mins 6. Proceduces: Teacher and students’ activities Contents Revision : Ask Sts to write some verbs in the past form. Presentation : Ask Sts some questions about Hoa and her family to introduce the situation .Practice : - introduce this is the letter of Hoa’s mother and ask them to guess what she write in the letter by reading through the questions - read the letter aloud to the students. - explain the new words - Ask Sts to read the letter themselves. - Have some students read the letter aloud. - Let them read the letter silently, then answer the questions - Have some students give the answers before class. Presentation : Ask Sts some questions to introduce the situation .Practice : Read the instructions to the students. Let them look at the pictures. Ask them to guess what each picture is about. Let them listen to the tape twice and put the pictures in order. Have them listen again and check. Presentation : Introduce the situation with a reference to the letter of Hoa’s mother .Practice : - Have students read through the letter to catch the over all meaning Ask students to read the letter again and find the appropriate form of verbs to fill in the blanks have some sts read the letter in front of the class Give correct answer the Past form of some Let them copy the Past form of some new verbs . Proceduces: Teacher and students’ activities Contents Revision : Ask Sts to write some the past form of irregular verbs B1. Presentation : Ask Sts some questions to introduce the situation of the dialogue. Presentation : In Minnh’s school there is a dentist who takes care of students’ teeth. Now we are going to listen to the tape about Dr. Lai . .Practice : - Ask Sts to read through the questions a-d. - Let them listen to the tape once and note the information needed for the answers. - have Sts listen to the tape again to check their answers. B3. - Ask questions about Minh. - Have students listen to the passage twice. - Ask them read the passage themseves. - Have them read throught the paragraph and find the appropriate wordsin the text to fill in the spaces. - Have students give the answer in front of the class. Proceduces: Teacher and students’ activities Contents Revision : Have Sts retell what happens to Minh in B3. B4. Presentation Speak some sentences about Minh’s feeling .Practice : Let them observe picture a and the model exchange. Let them observe the remaining pictures and prepare the dialogues in pairs. Have them practice with their partner. Have some pairs roleplay the dialogue in front of the class. Remember : Consolidation : ( B 5 ) Homework : B4(workbook ) B4. Key : b) Minh is nervous . Why ?
