II. Revision/ Warm up: Call sts to go to the board and read the dialogue on the page 22, then tell them to answer the questions.

Revision/ Warm up: Call sts to go to the board and read the dialogue on the page 22, then tell them to answer the questions. New Lesson: TIME TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES Dates: - Ask sts to look at the date on the book - Play the mp3 player and ask sts to listen carefully - Tell them to repeat aloud - Take a note on some special below: + first/ second/ third + eighth (one “t” only) + ninth (omit “e”) + twelfth (not “twelveth) + twentieth (not “twentyth”) - Ask sts the question: + What date is today? + What date is tomorrow? Months: - Show the sts the months and their Vietnamese equivalence. - Tell them to repeat and then copy down - Ask sts the questions: + What month is this month? + What month is next month? + What is the first month of the year? + What is the fourth month of a year? Birthday - Introduce how to make a question about birthday: + What is your date of birth? + When is your birthday? - Show them how to answer: + It’s on December the fifth ( Dec.5th) + It’s on the fifth of December - Ask some sts the question: + What is your birthday? - Tell sts to work in pairs, ask and answer about the birthday - Correct sts’ doing - Look at the dates on the books and remember what were learnt in the grade 6 - Repeat after the mp3 and the T - Listen to the T carefully and copy down - Answer the question: + Today is twenty-first. + Tomorrow is twenty-second. - Look at the board and listen to the T - Repeat and copy down - Answer the T’s questions: + This month is September. + Next month is October + January + April - Listen to the T carefully - Give the answers if possible - Answer the T’s questions + It’s on June 1st - Work in pairs - Ask and answer about the birthday - Stand up and speak aloud - Copy down all from the board Conclusion: Sts can ask and answer about the birthday, the dates and months Homework: - Study all the dates and months by heart - Practice speaking about the dates and the months - Do exercises B 1-2 - Prepare for the coming lesson: Lesson 5 After-teaching Note: No anything older than succeeds of yesterday
