Training Ss how to use the simple future tense. Developing writing, reading, speaking skills. Ss know how to prepare for their birthday party. II. Language contents: 1.Grammar: Revision three forms and how to use the simple future tense. 2.Vocabulary: III.Techniques: asking and answering, elicting. IV. Teaching aids: sub-boards, picture. V. Procedures: 1. Greetings. 2. Warm up: T. helps Ss to correct the exercise B4 in workbook. 3. New lesson: METHOD CONTENT T introduces the the new lesson by giving the picture of Lan’s birthday party and asks the students some sentences. What is the picture about?(Lan’s birthday party) Are there a lot of students at the party? What’s your telephone number - Ss answer. T explains the task to students carefully. T gives the sub-board with the questions: What will you give Lan? How will you get to her home? What games will you play? What will you eat? What will you drink? What time will you leave? T gives the students some vocabulary concerning to the B7. Have students practice in pairs. Have students write the questions and answers in their notebooks. T. gives Ss to practice free (Encouraging Ss try to speak as much as possible) T. reminds Ss how to use the simple future tense. Some Ss ask and answer before the class (speaking and writing) T. remarks and corrects the mistakes if neccesary. Asking Ss to write the answer on their notebooks. *Pre-writing: - Explain how to do it this kind of exercise. Guide the students how to write. Let students do free practice. Advise them to write invitation card. Have students reread the invitation card above. *While-writing: Try to write one. Help students to write by themselves. *Post-writing: Ask some students write their invitation cards on the board. Remark and correct the mistakes if neccesary B7 Think and write. Imagine you will be a guest at Lan’s birthday party. *Vocabulary: - a present = a gift - soft drink - fruit juice - orange juice - milk - coca-cola... - sandwich - hamburger - bread B8 Now write an invitation to your birthday party. 4. Consolidation: T has Ss do exercise: Change into negative and interrogative: We will see that new film. She will phone you soon. The party will start at 7:00 Complete the dialogue, use your own words: Tam: Hi, Lan! Lan: Hello, Tam! Tam: Are you going to Van’s birthday party? Lan: Tam: What will you give Van? Lan: Tam: How will you get to her house? Lan: Tam: What time will it start? Lan: Tam: O.K. Where will we meet each other? Lan: Tam: Great. I’ll see you then. Don’t be late. 5.
