Skills: Read and Listen Teaching aids: Lesson plan, mp3 player, picture Teaching methods: Communicative approach PROCEDURES: Class settlements: - Greetings - Checking attendance: 7A: .; 7B: 15-minute Test: Ask sts to write an invitation card for their own birthday New Lesson: TIME TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES Warm up: - Ask sts the questions: a. What are there in your bedroom/ living room/ kitchen? b. Describe the following room. New words: + awful (a) + bright (a) + convenient (a) + amazing (a) + sink (n) + tub (n) + washing machine (n) + dryer (n) + refrigerator (n) + dish washer (n) + electric stove (n) - Ask sts to repeat - Tell them to copy down Listen and Read. - Play the mp3 player three times and ask sts to listen carefully. - Read aloud and ask sts to repeat - Spend them 5 minutes to read in pairs - Call them to stand up and read aloud - Correct their pronunciation Answer the questions - Tell sts to read the dialogue again and answer all the question in the book Exclamation - Ask sts to find out some exclamations a. What an awful day! b. What a lovely living room! c. What a bright room! d. What a beautiful bathroom! e. What an amazing kitchen! - Answer the questions + There are - Describe the room + This is a living room. There are . - Listen to the T - Give the meaning if possible - Repeat after the T - Copy down - Listen to the mp3 player - Repeat after the T - Read in pairs - Stand up and read aloud - Read the dialogue again and answer the questions a. They are talking about the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen and Hoa’s room. b. Because it has her favorite color. c. It has a sink, a tub and a shower. d. It has a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, dish washer and an electric stove e and f. (sts’ answers) - From those examples, find out the general structure => WHAT A/AN + ADJ + N! Conclusion: Now sts can describe a room Homework: - Study all the new words by heart - Do exercises A1, 2. Prepare for the coming lesson.
