Warm-up:
- Ask sts the questions:
a. Is your house small or big?
b. How many rooms are there?
c. What are there in your kitchen/ living room?
d. Whose house is the biggest in Ben Quan town?

- Ask st to repeat
- Tell them to copy down.
Listen and read
- Ask sts to look at their books and listen to the mp3 player.
- Read aloud and ask sts to repeat.
- Spend them 5 minutes to read in pairs.
- Tell some pairs to stand up and read aloud.
- Correct their pronunciation.
- Ask sts to answer the questions:
- Tell them to go to the board and write the answers.
Comparatives and Superlatives
- Ask sts to read the dialogue once more and find out the Comparatives and Superlatives.
* COMPARATIVES:
a. The one at the number 40 is better
b. It’s bigger.
c. It’s smaller than the other two.
=> Short Adj
S1 + BE + ADJ-ER + THAN + S2
=> Long Adj
S1 + BE + MORE + ADJ + THAN + S2
(*) EXAMPLES:
- Tell sts to find some other examples.
* SUPERLATIVES:
a. Is it the best one?
b. It’s the most expensive.
c. Which will be the most suitable for my family?
d. The cheapest will be the best for you.
=> Short Adj
S + BE + THE + ADJ – EST
=> Long Adj
S + BE + THE + MOST + ADJ

- Tell sts to find some more examples.
