Objectives:
After the lesson, Ss will be able to;
Describe rooms and homes.
Ask and answer to know the informations about apartments using comparative and superlative.
Develope listening, speaking, reading, writing skills.
Language contents:
1. Grammar:
Simple present
Comparision
2. Vocabulary: apartment (n), empty (a), expensive(a), furnished(a)
Techniques: Picture cues, pair work, role plays, extra exercise.
Teaching aids: a cassette, a tape, sub-board, pictures.
Procedures:
1. Greetings
2. Check up:
 T calls some Ss to introduce the jobs of all members in their families
3. New lesson:
METHOD
CONTENT
*Presentation:
Set the situation by showing a picture of two people, then have them point out the furniture in the room.
Introduce the new words- explain the meaning- lead Ss to read.
Call some Ss to read aloud.
Have them repeat the recording twice.
Ask students to repeat the dialogue.
*Practice:
Have students practice the dialogue in pairs, change the roles.
Remind students the use of comparatives and superlatives.
Have Ss to read aloud the sentences using comparatives and superlatives.
Mention the notes of:
apartment (AmE) = flat (BE)
apartment house – a block of flats
Let them read the dialogue silently.
Have them answer the questions.
Let them check their answers in pairs.
Provide the correct answers.
Ask them to rewrite their answers in the exercise books as homework.
*Pre-writing:
Introduce “you will read the letter from Mr John to his wife and daughter then complete it by filling the words in the spaces.”
Let students read the letter and provide them further practice on “adjectives”
*While- writing:
Have them reread the letter and fill in the blanks with given adjectives.
Let them check the answer with their partners.
*Post-writing:
Calls some Ss to complete the letter on the sub board.
Remark and correct the mistakes if any.
Let the students copy the letter in their exercise books as homework.
Have them copy the note in “REMEMBER”

 Complete them with superlatives of the adjectives in brackets
