2. Requests:- By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to speak using comparatives and superlatives of irregular adjs and loong adjs.

3. T's preparation:- Cues with the words to use making comparative and superlative.

II.CHECKING UP THE OLD LESSON:( NO)
III. NEW LESSON:
* Revision: - Ss make sentences with Comparatives and Superlatives, using the cues given.
 Nam 1m35 Hanoi 300c
 Ba 1m45 HCMC 350c
 Tam 1m60 Hue 380c
Example Exchange:
 Ba is taller than Nam.
 Tam is taller than Ba.
Tam is the tallest.
* Pre - Teach:
- an apartment: C¨n hé ( Example)
- suitable (adj) Phï hîp ( Situation)
- Good- better- the best: Tèt, tèt h¬n, tèt nhÊt.
- Expensive- more expensive- the most expensive: §¾t, ®¾t h¬n, ®¾t nhÊt.
* Checking vocab: what and where
1. Presentation: B5 p36
- T sets the scene to introduce lesson.
- Presents dialogue.
- Then asks ss to practice dialogue, then call out the model sentences.
Model sentences:
The apartment at number 40 is better. It's more expensive.
The apartment at number 79 is the best. It is the most expensive.
- T asks ss to call out the form:
Comparatives:
S1 + better/ more + long adjs +than + S2.
Superlatives:
S + the best/ the most + long adjs.
* Comprehension qs: Ss answer the qs at home
2. Practice:
Picture Drill: Language Focus 1 p 39- 40.
3. Further Practice:Written Exercise;
- Ss write sentences with the superlative
Sydney/ big/ Autralia.
Tokyo/ expensive/ world.
He/ good student/ class.
The Titanic/ good.
This food/ bad.
* B6 p37.
IV. CONSOLIDATION:
- Ss say again the Comparatives and Superlatives.
V. HOMEWORK:
- Ss learn by heart the structure and do exercises: B6 and comprrehension qs.
