Teaching aids: Pictures , a cassette , a tape , stick papers , a sub-board. V. Procedures: 1. Greetings 2. Warm up: T asks Ss to answer some questions: - How many subjects do you study at school? - What’s your favarite subject? Why? - Where will you go if you want to borrow some books...? 3. New lesson: Method Content *Presentation: - T asks Ss to look at the picture then answer the questions: What’s this?(It’s a library) Does your school have library? (Yes) - T: today, we will go to a library. (introduces the lesson) - T asks: What can you see in the library? ( books, dictionaries, books - T gives them some new words. - Ss copy them down and repeat the new words after the teacher - T calls some Ss to read the new words again - T corrects their mistakes if any - T plays the tape. - Ss listen to the tape twice and repeat after each sentence - Ss try to understand the information - T asks students to identify the grammar points and read aloud these sentences *Practice: - T asks Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs - T calls some couples to read aloud, ( 4 pairs) - T corrects their mistakes if any - T has Ss ask and answer the questions in pairs. - T calls some Ss to answer before the class and others to write the sentences on the board. - T remarks and corrects the mistakes if necessary. The newspapers are on the racks The math and science books are on the shelves on the left. The history, geography books, dictionaries and literature in Vietnamese are on the shelves on the right. The books in English are at the back of the library. 4. Consolidation - T asks Ss to do exercise in groups of four True of false sentences? In the library, the magazines and the newspapers are on the same racks. Students can find biolory books on the shelves on the left. English, history, and geography books are on the shelves on the right. English dictionaries are on the same shelves with Vietnamese dictionaries. There is a video room in Hoa’s school. - T asks: Do you often go to library? What do you usualy do when you go to library? 5.
