Teaching aids : Pictures, a cassette, a tape, stick papers. V. Procedures: 1. Greetings. 2. Warm up: T has Ss sing an English song. 3. New lesson: Method Content T: Today, Nga goes to the library. She meets the librarian. What can she want to borrow?. We will listen to the tape. T: play the tapes (books closed) Ss: listen to the tape twice. T: pauses each sentence. Ss: repeat after the tape. Ss: try to understand the information and identify the new words. T: writes them on the board. Ss: copy them down and repeat the new words after the teacher. Ss: read the new words again. T: corrects their mistakes if any. Ss: read the dialogue in pairs. Ss: have to answer the questions: What does Nga want? Where are the magazines and newspaper? Where are the math books? T: asks Ss to base on the library and the dialogue they have just read to make the similar one. T: notes for Ss some questions using in the dialogue. Ss: work in pairs. T: calls some couples to practice berore the class. * Pre-listening; T: What is this? ( points at the picture) Ss: This is a library. T: What can you find in the library? Ss: math books,reference books T: today, someone wants to tidy the library, but they don’t know where they put the books. Listen to the tape and help them to arrange. T: asks Ss to discuss in groups to guess the position of the racks and shelves of books. T: calls some Ss to tell their guessions. * While listening: T: plays the tape twice. Ss: listen and take note. T: pauses each sentence. Ss: writes the name of the books and the positions that they can hear. * Post listening: T: asks each group to compare the result with their own guessions. T: calls some Ss to go to the board and stick papers on the library plan. T: corrects their mistakes if any. B2. Listen. Then practice with a partner.
