A. THE AIM AND REQUESTS:

1. The aims: - T helps ss read about the library of Congress in NewYork and furtheer practice in compraratives and superlatives.

2. Requests: - By the end of the lesson ss will be able to understand about the Library of Congress in New York and pratice the comparatives and superlatives.

3. T's preparation: Poster with the sentences about the Library of Congress.

II. CHECKING UP THE OLD LESSON:
- T calls 2 ss to go to the bb and describe the preposition of the books in the library in the previous lesson.
- T corrects and gives marks.
III. NEW LESSON:
1. Pre- listening: *Open Prediction:
- Ss look at the picture p48 and guess what books are on the racks and shelves.( 2+ 3 + 4 + 5 +6+7).
* While- Listening: Grid
-Ss listen and fill inthe grid. Then compare with their prediction.

2. Pre – Reading:
 * Pre - Teach:
- (to) recieve: Nhận được Situation
- (to) contain: Chứa đựng Example

* Pre - Reading: T/F Prediction.
- T sets the scene to introduce the lesson.
- Then show ss the poster with the sentences about the Library of Congress.
- Asks them to work individually, read the sentences and predict what are they true/false.
a. The library of Congress is in New York.
b. It receive copies of all English books.
c. There are over 100 million books in this library.
d. The shelves are about 300 km long.
e. 5,000 people work in the library.
- Then T gets feetback from ss.
3. While reading: 
- Ss read the text and check their prediction.

- T asks ss to work in group and choose the cards answer the qs and get marks.
