Warm up: T has Ss play a game: KIM’S GAME ( T uses the pictures in B1 and divide class into 2 groups to play) New lesson: Method Content *Pre-reading: T: asks “Can you tell me the names of activities at recess?” Ss: answer “blindman’s bluff, catch, skip rope..” T: asks “ What do you usually do at recess?” Ss: answer “I usally play marbles..” T: asks : “Do you know what Ss in another countries / in the USA often do at recess? T: introduces “In order to know exactly what American students usually do at recess. Let’s read part B3. *While-reading: T: asks Ss to look at the passage and find out some activities. T: explains some new words and presents them on the board. T: leads Ss to read in chorus. Ss: repeat them after the teacher. T: calls some Ss to list the activities of American students. T: helps Ss understand the meaning of the difficult words. T: asks Ss to read the passage again. and do exercise by themshelves. T: asks Ss to compare the results with a partner. *Post-reading: T: calls some Ss to choose the correct letters (a, b, c or d) on the sub board then write the complete sentences. T: remarks and corrects their mistakes if any. T: plays the tape. Ss: listen and repeat after the tape. T: asks some Ss to read the passage aloud. T: corrects their mistakes if any.
