Step 1 : Pre - reading

- Set the scence: These staments are about American students’vacation and holiday. Read them and guess which staments are true.
- Teacher sticks the poster on the board .
- Ask ss to run through the staments.
- Ask ss to work individual and guess.
- T gives feed back.
Step 2 : While Reading:
1. Checking prediction
 - Ss read the text and check their prediction

2. Filling the grid
- Draw the grid on the board.
-Ask ss to copy down in their note book.
- SS read the text again then fill in the grids.
- Ss go to the board and fill in the information.
- Teacher gives feedback.
Step 3 : Post - reading
Listening 
- Teacher asks Ss to look at the pictures A3 on page 74 and guess the name of the public holiday in each picture.
- Give feed back.
- Get ss to listen to the tape and check their prediction.
- Give feed back.
