 I. Aims and Objectives:

 Language content:

- To introduce Ss Tim’s letter to Hoa about his family in America.

- To help them revise the comparative.

 Language function:

- To enable them how to write a letter to talk about their work.

- To enable them to make a comparative.

 Educational aim:

- To educate them to be polite when writing a letter.

Period 43: PART B1 – THE WORKER
 I. Aims and Objectives:
 Language content:
To introduce Ss Tim’s letter to Hoa about his family in America.
To help them revise the comparative.
 Language function:
To enable them how to write a letter to talk about their work.
To enable them to make a comparative.
 Educational aim:
To educate them to be polite when writing a letter.
 II. Language:
 1. Vocabulary: send, part-time, homeless, machine, factory, prefer, shift, day off
 2. Structure: 	- the comparative.
 3. Skills: Integrated skills. 
 III. Teacher and students’ preparation:
 1. Method: Communicative approach
 2. Techniques: Repetition, Ask and answer, using picture.
 3. Materials needed: Textbook, picture, and cassette.
 4. Students’ preparation: Homework, new lesson, teaching aids.
 IV. Procedure in class:
 1. Stabilization: (3ms)
 a. Warm – up: Makes greetings (Good morning, class./ How are you?)
 b. Checking absence: Asks the monitor: Who is absent today?
 2. Checking – up previous knowledge: (5ms)
 3. Presentation of the new material:

*Prediction:
-Shows them the photo of Tim’s family, asks them to predict each member’s age and job
2.Prepractice:
-Teaches them some vocabulary

-Reads the letter
-Asks them to read silently
-Calls some Ss to read
-Has them answer some questions
-Asks them to read the letter again to answer the questions by writing
-Checks
-Calls some Ss to read the questions and the answers again.

-Asks them to work in groups telling about their families
-Calls some to present their speech
