1. The aims:

a. Kiến thức:

 - Học sinh tiếp tục ôn lại các mẫu câu hỏi, chỉ đường, phương hướng thông qua các cấu trúc: Could you tell me how to get there ? Could you show me the way to .? Đồng thời nắm vững cấu trúc hỏi khoảng cách giữa hai địa điểm qua các cấu trúc: How far is it from .to .?

 + It takes + time + to get .

 - Vocabulary:

 + A long way

 + Have a guess

 + Coach

 - Grammar:

 Could you tell me how to get there ?

 Could you show me the way to .?

1. The aims: 
a. Kiến thức:
 - Học sinh tiếp tục ôn lại các mẫu câu hỏi, chỉ đường, phương hướng thông qua các cấu trúc: Could you tell me how to get there ? Could you show me the way to .? Đồng thời nắm vững cấu trúc hỏi khoảng cách giữa hai địa điểm qua các cấu trúc: How far is it from .to .?
 + It takes + time + to get .
 - Vocabulary:
 + A long way 
 + Have a guess 
 + Coach 
 - Grammar:
 Could you tell me how to get there ?
 Could you show me the way to .?

b. Kĩ năng:
	- Học sinh thực hành kĩ năng hỏi đáp theo cặp về vị trí và khoảng cách các địa điểm, qua đó củng cố kĩ năng nghe và xác địng vị trí cửa hàng cơ quan,.
c. Thái độ:
	- Học sinh có thái độ nghiêm túc, hăng hái xây dựng bài học.
2. Preparation:
	a. Teacher: Text book, cassette, tape, map, .. 
 b. Students: Book, pen, revision
3. Procedures:
	a. Checking the old lesson: (5’)
- T guides Ss to play a game: Hangman ( 3 words )
+ The first word has 6 letters. It is used for asking about distance.
+ The second word has 5 letters. It is used for measuring distances. 
+ The third word has 8 letters. It is also used for measuring distance.
b. New lesson:
T’s activities

- T introduces the aim of the lesson, then explain some new words and structures.
- T guides Ss to play game: What and Where
- Ask Ss to look at the dialogue and listen to the tape .
-Ask Ss some questions about distance using: How far is it from .to?
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape again and read after the tape.
-T asks Ss to work in pairs reading the dialogue.
-T cals on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
- T correcst the pronunciation.
- T asks Ss to answer the question:
- T asks Ss to look at the map and the table in the book carefully. 
- T asks Ss to work in pairs asking and answerring about the distances.
- T calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
- T corrects the mistake if necessary. Ask Ss to write down in the notebooks.
New activities:
Listen and repeat. Then practice the dialogue with the partner.(17’)

Example:
How far is it from your house to school?
 + It’s about one kilometer 
How far is it from Nam Dinh to Ha Noi?
 + It’s about 90 kilometers.
 Answer the question:
How far is it from Hue to Ho Chi Minh city ?
 + It’s about 1,030 km.
How far is it from Hue to Ha noi ?
 + It’s about 680 km.
b. Look at this table of distances in km. Ask and answer questions with a partner.(15’)
- Make example:
S1: How far is it from Vinh to Hanoi ?
S2: It’s about 319 km 
 ..
- Listen to the teacher carefully.
Guess the meanings, read new words in chorus and individually then copy down.
- Ss play game: What and Where
- Look at the dialogue and listen to the tape.
- Answer T’s questions 
It’s about one kilometer
It’s about 90 kilometers
-Listen to the tape and read after the tape.
-Work in pairs reading the dialogue.
-Practice in front of the class.
- Answer the question:
It’s about 1,030 km.

- Look at the map and the table carefully.

- Write down.
 c. Consolidation: (6’)
- T summarizes knowledges in period: 
 - T asks Ss to practice in pairs, using the street map about the stores and the table b in 
 language focus 3, then make a conversation about giving direction.
 - Make example: 
 S1 : Could you tell me how to get to the bookstore from the library ?
 S2 : Go straight ahead to the park, take the first street on the left and go along Hue 
 street. The bookstore is betweenthe minimart and the restaurant.
 S1 : How far is it from the library ?
 S2 : about 500 meters.
 S1 : thank you.
 S2 : You’re welcome.
 - T asks them to work in pairs.
- T calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
- T corrects the mistake and asks them to write down 
 d. Home work: (2’)
- T demands students to:
 	+ Learn old lesson.
 + Do exercise 2 at page 48 in workbook.
 + Prepare part B1, 2.
