Activity 1. Section A4. Listening stage
Pre- listening:
- ask Ss to look at the picture in section A4 on page 54 to guess some information:
What are the pictures about?
Which school subjects do you like?
Can you guess which subjects Ba and Hoa do on Saturday morning?
While- listening:
- play the tape and ask Ss to listen to choose which subjects Ba and Hoa do on Saturday morning.
- check Ss’s work on the first time.
- play the tape 2nd time and ask Ss to write down number a,b,c with pictures.
- ask Ss to compare their work with partner.
- ask Ss to present their work in front of class.
- give feedback and correct.
- play the tape again to give correct answers.

Words and phrases:

Post- listening:
- ask Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs.
Activity 2. Section A5. Reading stage
- set the scene: 
How many subjects do you study at school?
What do you study in each subject?
Which subject so you like/ dislike? Why?
- ask Ss to look at section A5 on page 54 and scan to find out the main idea of this text.
- ask Ss answer similar questions: What do you study in (Literature, History)
- ask Ss find one irrelevant word and odd it out.

- ask Ss to work individually.

I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge:
- Ss will able to know about relax activities, describe the recess time.
- Vocabulary: bell, recess, blind man’s bluff, catch, marbles, rope
- Verbs: go into/ indoors, to chat, to play catch/ marbles/ blind man’s bluff, to skip rope
- Grammar: the simple present tense, the present progressive tense.
2. Skills:
- practicing vocabulary.
- ask and answer about recess’s activities.
II. Preparation:
- Textbook, mini laptop, projector..
III. Procedures:
1. Organization:
- checking attendants

Activity 1. Section B1. Activities in recess.
- ask Ss to look at section B1 on page 56 to guess some information:
What are the children?
What are they doing?
When do they usually do these games?
- play the tape 1st time and ask Ss to listen without opening their books.
Vocabulary and phrases:
Bell: cái chuông
Catch: đuổi bắt
Yard: sân trường
Play marbles: chơi bi
Recess: giờ ra chơi
Skip rope: nhảy dây
Chat: nói chuyện
Go indoors: đi vào lớp
Blind man’s bluff: trò chơi bịt mắt bắt dê
- ask Ss to practice in pairs to ask and answer about activities in recess.
Model sentences:

Present progressive tense:
Usage: dùng để diễn đạt hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói
(+) S + be + V- ing.
(-) S + be not + V- ing.
(?) Be + S + V- ing?
 Yes, S + be.
→
 No, S + be not.
- ask Ss to practice in pairs to ask and answer about pictures.
- ask Ss to read the text again, and then translate it into Vietnamese.
- ask Ss look at section B1b on page 57: ask and answer the questions with a partner.
- ask Ss to practice to ask and answer in front of class.
Activity 2. Section B2. Listening stage.
- ask Ss to look at section B2 on page 57 to review name of activities.
- play the tape and ask Ss to do this task in pairs.
- ask Ss to compare their work with partner.
- give correct answer:
Mai is playing catch.

- retell name of activities in recess.
