Activity 1. Listening stage
- ask Ss to look at section B4- page 85 and list the object in this picture (pen, envelopes, stamps, phone card...)
- ask Ss to guess their price.
- play the tape and ask Ss listen carefully to answer questions.
What is the total cost?
How much change will Mrs Robinson have from 60,000 dong?
- ask Ss compare their work with partner.
- ask Ss to present their work in front of class.
- give feedback and correct.
- give the correct answer.
The total cost is 59,000 dong including:
a packet of envelope: 2000
a pen: 1,500
a writing pad: 3,000
five stamps: 2,500
a phone card: 50,000
- play the tape again and stop in each sentence to check answer.
