C.Procedures: I.Class control: (1’) - Greetings - Taking attendance II.Review of the previous lesson : (7’) language focus 3 III.New lesson: (30’) Content Method 1.Warm up: Say what to know about Hoa and guess what will Hoa write to her mother? 2.Presentation: I. Activity 1: Read. New words. - Harvest (n): mùa gặt - Helful (adj): giúp ích - Iron (v): ủi, là quần áo II. Activity 2: Answers: a. They are busy because it is almost harvest time. b. Hoa’s grand father helps them on the farm. c. They will (hope to) go to Ha Noi soo, after the harvest. d. Now, Hoa is different. She gets up early and does morning exercises every day. e. Hoa’s mother wants her to do her own washing and ironing. Hoa’s mother doesn’t want her to eat too much candy, stay up late. Teacher introduces the new lesson by asking some questions. Students listen to the tape once. Teacher explains some words. Teacher reads model. Students repeat. Students listen to the tape twice times. Students work themselves. Students read in front of class. Students work themselves. Students ask and answer in front of class and write the answers on the board. Teacher corrects mistakes if necessary. Students copy the answers into exercise book. What did you do yesterday? 2.Presentation: I. Activity 1: Listen and put the pictures in the order you hear. Tape cription: Yesterday, Hoa got up and took a shower. She put on clean clothes. She polished her shoes and put them on. She had her breakfast and then she brushed her teeth. She put a sandwich in her lunch box and a bottle of water in her bag. She went to school. At recess, she ate her sandwich. Then she drank some water and talked with her friends. At home, she changed into red pants and a shirt, and put on her sandals. After dinnner, she washed and ironed her clothes. Then she did her homework. She brushed her teeth and had a bath. Then she went to bed at 11 o’clock. a , e , f , d , g , c , h , b. II. Activity 1: Write. New words. - Reply (v): trả lời - Reply (n): câu trả lời - Suitable (adj): phù hợp II. Activity 2: Complete Hoa’s reply to her mother with suitable verbs. 1 – was 2 – having 3 – show / take 4 – take 5 – get 6 – go 7 – wash 8 – iron 9 – eating 10 – told 11 – see 12 – go III.
