C.Procedures: I.Class control: (1’) - Greetings - Taking attendance II.Review of the previous lesson : (7’) A1 III.New lesson: (30’) Content Method 1.Warm up: Students listen to the tape once time. 2.Presentation: I. Activity 1: Listen. Then write the missing words. D: I want to ask you afew questions before I start, Hoa. How old are you? H: Fourteen. D: And your height is one meter fifty centimeters? H: No. I think I’m shorter . The nurse measured me. D: Oh. How tall are you? H: One meter 45 centimeters. D: I will ask the nurse to check your height again. How heavy are you? H: I think I’m 42 kilograms. D: No, It says on your form that you’re 40 kilograms. II. Activity 2: Practice the diaguage with a partner Teacher introduces the new lesson. Teacher explains. Students listen to the tape three times. Teacher explains some words. Students listen to the tape again and write the answers on the board. Teacher helps students correct the mistakes. Students copy the answers into exercise book. Students work themselves and practice in front of class. Students make similar dialoguage if necessary. III. Activity 3: Listen. Days lost through sickness in class 7A last semester. Tape transcript: Last semester in class 7A, there was a total of 112 days’ absence due to sickness. The total breaks down as follows: most absences – 43 – were due to flu. Then came stomach problems with 37. Toothache came next with 17. Colds accounted for 10 absences. Finally, headaches caused 5 days’ absence. IV. Activity 4: Complete the table.
