PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. Warm – Up: (5’) Have students play game: “Lucky numbers” 2. Pre – Reading: (5’) - Chat with students about their learning English: a. Do you like to learn English vocabulary? b. How many words do you try to learn every day? c. What do you do when you meet a new word? d. How do you learn / remember new words? - Have students do ordering in pairs. - Play the tape for students to check. - Pre-teach vocabulary. 1. Mother tongue (n): 2. Stick (v): 3. Come across (v) 4. While – Reading: (20’) - Ask students to read the text silently. - Ask students to prredict True or False. - Ask students to read the text again to do True/ False sentences. - Ask students to give feedback. a.
