I. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES :
* Language content:
- To help the students use some words relating to presenting one side of an argument.
* Language function:
- By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to write a short passage about clothing.
* Educational aim:
- To help students have a chance to choose the suitable clothes.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES : * Language content: - To help the students use some words relating to presenting one side of an argument. * Language function: - By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to write a short passage about clothing. * Educational aim: - To help students have a chance to choose the suitable clothes. 1. Language: a. Vocabulary: therefore, in conclusion, encourage, equal, self- confident, bear one’s name, casual b. Structures: Format of an argument. 2. Skills: Integrated skills, focus on writing. 3. Educational factor: - Knowing how to choose the suitable clothes for certain places. II. TEACHER’S AND STUDENTS’ PREPARATION: 1. Method: Communicative approach 2. Techniques: Question- Answer, Chatting, Revision, “Slap the board”, Group work, Explanation 3. Materials needed: Pictures, Flash cards. 4. Students’ preparation: New words and sub board. 5. My opinion is I think Series of arguments Presents arguments in a logical way (one in each paragraph), give examples where possible. Firstly, Secondly, Finally, Conclusion Sum up the argument Therefore, In conclusion, - Asks the students to go to the board, sticks the strips on the correct space. They can do this task as a game. Group which has more strips filling in the table with the correct content is the winner. - Asks the students to answer the questions. + What do you write in “Introduction”? + What language is used? + How can we present series of arguments? + What language is used? + What do you write in “Conclusion”? + What language is used? 3. While writing: - Asks Ss to read the topic and outline A. - Asks the students some comprehension questions: 1. What is the topic of the passage? 2. Why does wearing uniform encourage students to be proud of their school? 3. How do the students feel when wearing uniforms? 4. Do the students have to think of what to wear everyday? - Asks Ss to read the passage to compare with the outline A. - Asks the students to read outline B and answer the questions: + What is the argument about? + Why should secondary students wear casual clothes? - Has Ss to work in groups. - Goes around and helps the students correct if necessary. - Gets groups to stick their writing on the board. - Makes them self- correct mistakes each others. - Suggests the correction. 4. Post- reading: - Conducts the game Classification. - The teacher gives words relating to uniforms. The Ss have to classify them into 2 groups “For” and “Against” (equal, comfortable, self- confident, proud, practical, colorful, uniform, casual clothes, lively) For Against . . * Has Ss match phrases in A to correct phrases in B. Conclusion: sum up the arguments. III. Practice: b/ Write a paragraph. In my opinion, secondary school students should wear casual clothes. Firstly, casual clothes make students feel comfortable. Secondly, wearing casual clothes gives students freedom of choice. They have rights to choose sizes, colors and fashion that they love. Thirdly, casual clothes make students feel self- confident when they are in their favorite clothes. Finally, casual clothes make school more colorful and lovely. In conclusion, secondary school students wear casual clothes is convenient, comfortable and fun. * Remember: The Outline of an argument. * Homework: @.
