I. Objectives.
1/ Educational aim: Ss should love their countryside
2/ Teaching aim.
 By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read and understand a passage about a trip to the countryside

 Textbook, pictures, tape, cassette, chalk

1. WARM – UP. (5’)
- Give some questions to ask ss about the countryside
+ Have you ever been to the coutryside?
+ Where is it?
+ Have you got any relatives there?
2. PRE – READING. (15’).
* Activity 1
- Ask ss to look at the pictures and describe what the people are doing
- Call ss to give answers
A man is watering vegetables
Some boys are swimming
A women is collecting eggs
Two women are cutting rice
A man is feeding a big
A man is plowing with his buffalo
A boy is flying a kite
Children are playing soccer
* Activity 2
- Present new words: plow (v), join (v), collect (v), reach (v), countryside (n), buffalow (n), journey(n), have a rest, banyan tree (n), entrance (n), snack (n), shrine (n)
- Have ss listen and repeat
- Call ss read individually
- Let ss play game “rub out and remember”
3. WHILE – READING. (15’).
* Activity 1
- Play the tape for ss to listen
- Ask ss to read the statements on page 23 then read the text and decide which sentence is true or false
- Call ss to give answers 
- Make corrections
