( Students work in two team - T read the questions. - S listen and slap the suitable response. Step 1: Pre - listening - Ask sts to match (individual work), ten compare with their partners. - Give feedback . - Sts listen. - listen and repeat (chorally then individually). - copy. 1. Presentation dialogues: (A1) - Set the scene: They are friends.They are back to school after their summer vacations. -Let students listen then practise the dialogues(open pairs then close pairs) - Ask SS to answer the questions . - Give feedback . 2. Gap fill - Ask students to work on their own first, then compare with their partners - Ask them to listen and check. Step 2: While – listening - T presents the 4 pictures p. 13. Who are they ? Where are they ? What are they doing ? - Asks Ss to listen and write the letter of the dialoguesin the order they hear. Step 3: Post - listening * Mapped dialogue - T encourages Ss to use the new greeting expression from the matching. * Example exchange: Ba: Good morning, Nam Nam: Good morning, Ba.
